While I was separated my family this last week, I had time to read each day. I'm reading two books right this moment, Secrets Of The Vine, and Contagious Joy. I read a chapter from each one every night before going to bed and am enjoying them both immensely.
It also gave me some time to be alone and talk to the Lord about whatever crossed my mind at the moment.
My cousin, Ron, remarked to me on the second morning of my visit, "Do you always have that smile on every morning?" "Yes, I do!" I laughed. I thought to myself, what a wonderful way to be thought of.
It's a gift I get from God...being so happy for another day to share with those I care about.
I can smile because I know I'm never alone. I am a child of the King. I am constantly reminded of all my blessings. I should never take for granted this gift He has given me called life.
I remember someone once telling me, (I think it was my sister), "Your life is a gift to you from God...what you do with it is a gift from you to Him."
Now that's something to smile about!
